“I think where I’ve seen a real barrier was probably at interview stage. Perhaps not having someone who looked like me on the panel – that could add to the nerves, possibly.”

Ben Kwapong is a first year trainee at the University of Bath with previous experience in adult inpatient mental health, older adults’ community mental health team, and memory service. Ben’s interests include dementia, neurological diseases, as well as developing the role of clinical psychologists in shaping social policy.
